Messy Bun Beanie & Scarf

I recently discovered Rose of Black Rose Stitches on Instagram and totally fell in love with her feed. And after I was done oohing and aaahing for a couple weeks, I totally bought her Vanessa Messy Bun Beanie pattern and made one for Helena.

I used the Sprightly Acrylic Worsted yarn from Bluprint which was super awesome and I’ll definitely be reaching for it again and again.

The pattern was super easy to follow and crocheted up super quick. It has an opening on the top in case you have a “messy bun” or pony that you wanna show and won’t give you that “conehead” look.

But then Helena saw me working on a scarf for myself and asked me if I’d make one to go with her beanie. So I used the same stitches and guessed on the width and length and made it work. I’d never added fringe before but I had just enough and think I did it right.

Happy New Year Y’all! And happy stitching!
