Did not like the substrate - rough and heavy, not like normal quilting cotton. Plaid colors slightly less bright in person.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Wideback fabrics can sometimes feel a bit different from standard quilting cotton because they are woven differently to achieve the full 108” width. This often results in a slightly heavier hand compared to typical 44” quilting cotton.
Many quilters prefer widebacks for backing because the wider weave helps reduce seams and holds up well to longarm quilting, though the texture can feel a little different than standard quilting fabric.
