Primrose Quilt Kit Featuring Gradients Gallery by Moda Fabrics

The Primrose Quilt was designed to put spectacular fabric front and center, and Gradients Gallery is spectacular fabric. Painterly blooms, glowing circles, layered washes, splatters, and shifting fields of color are paired within each block, then shaped into a modern garden of softened curves.

Designed by Sarah Sumbera of Copper Kettle Quilt Company, Primrose begins with familiar half-square-triangle construction and introduces approachable curved piecing to transform each block into a bold, petal-like form. The repeated shapes bring structure to all that glorious color while allowing every Gradients Gallery print to have its own moment.

Because the background completely changes the personality of this quilt, the kit is available in two versions:

• Light Background features Speckled in Confetti by Rashida Coleman-Hale for Ruby Star Society. Its warm natural ground and multicolored paint splatters create an airy, playful quilt while echoing the layered marks found throughout Gradients Gallery.
• Dark Background features Speckled in Onyx by Rashida Coleman-Hale for Ruby Star Society. The deep near-black ground provides maximum contrast, making the blocks glow like stained glass while tiny multicolored specks connect the background back to the prints.

Honestly, both are correct. One feels like color floating through a bright gallery; the other feels illuminated from within.

What’s included:

• One Gradients Gallery Layer Cake with 42 precut 10" squares
• 2¾ yards of Speckled background fabric in your choice of Confetti or Onyx
• ⅝ yard of Gradients Gallery fabric for binding
• Printed Primrose Quilt Pattern by Copper Kettle Quilt Company

The pattern uses 36 of the 42 Layer Cake squares, leaving six additional squares for another project or coordinating accessories.

Skill level: Intermediate

The Wonder Curve Ruler by Sew Kind of Wonderful can be used to make the curved piecing easier but is not included with the kit.

Backing and batting are not included. You will need 4⅛ yards of standard-width fabric for backing.
