Terial Magic has blown my mind! Last week, they came by to shoot me for some promo stuff and it was a total blast, but it was clear after the shoot that I had only scratched the surface of it’s awesomeness.
So what is this stuff? Well, it’s quite literally magic because it’s a fabric stabilizer that turns fabric into a paper like substrate and doesn’t fray or anything. And if you want, you could also wash it out. But for now, I’m playing with it all paper-like and stuff.
For the shoot, I made a hexagon version of this pyramid wall art using 4.5″ squares and I put it on 12″ x 12″ white canvas. Oooh la la right?
I sent this home with Meg after the shoot since I just gotta be me. But then, I was all like what if I made a straight-line rainbow with 2.25″ squares instead. So I picked out 15 Art Gallery Fabrics Pure Elements Solids and an art installation was conceived.
For those interested in how this is done, there’s a new YouTube video on my channel that shows both the origami & installation.
And here’s some links for the products I used in the tutorial.
And without further ado, the piece de resistance was born.

Very cool looking. I’ve never tried Terial Magic, but I’ve heard about it. May have to do a small one. I wonder whatever happened to my glue gun…
Very awesome looking!
