Sometimes when I’m trying to answer a crafty question for myself, I make something without any intention of ever turning it into anything. That’s how this project began over a year ago. I basically wanted to see whether me slicing up a heart shape on cardstock and English Paper Piecing it back together again would look cute. And boy oh boy did it ever.
But then like I never really knew what to do with it and it sat on a shelf until this week when I decided to machine applique it using Felicia’s “blanket stitch” onto some denim and make a pillow for Helena.
And then I found some vintage pink pearl snaps that I had purchased a while ago and used it for the pillow back closure. Insert decorative stitching and ooh la la.
