So I have this grand idea that at Spring Quilt Market in a couple weeks, I’m going to wear five outfits made of fabrics from my Loved to Pieces collection. This cardigan is the first of five, so fingers crossed I getterdone. But lets focus on this cardigan for now. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG! I made that for myself and it’s out of fabric I designed!!! What the what?!?! I used my Efflorescent Celeste and Denim Blue knit fabrics and interfaced all of it in Thermoweb’s Heat n Bond Fusible Soft Interfacing to give it extra body ody ody.
And of course I had to post some teaser shots along the way of my new favorite outerwear. FYI, I used my McCall’s M6803 pattern which is easy peasy and always fits great.
I both stitched and serged my edges to keep them clean and secure. And then to stitch down the serged edges right outside the waist and center bands, I used Wonderfil’s Designer Thread in Pale Turquoise. And I went with Dritz Heavy Duty Gunmetal Snaps for the win. So here’s the cardigan without me in it.
And here I am all spiffied up ready to hit the town. Fits like a glove and feels amazing.
And here are some of the supplies I used making my Efflorescent Celeste Cardigan.
