I remember originally pinning this Swoon Stella Weekender Bag pattern on my Pinterest aeons ago, far before I had even made my first bag so I didn’t even know if this was a possibility for me. It became something aspirational, often glancing at it when I explored my “Sew Me – Crafty Crafts” board. Fast forward to today, this aspiration has manifested into something quite remarkable, if I do say so myself.
When I first saw Katarina Roccella‘s Pandalicious collection and saw that the Pandalings Pod Assured was the canvas print, I knew it was a match made in heaven.
Now bag making is kinda like putting IKEA furniture together, a lot of parts to put together and it’s really truly best to follow the instructions. So, I dove in feet first. With all the pieces spread out all over my play room, I finally jumped into the deep end and successfully put them all together (and the needle only went through my finger once). ?
And to top this all off, I brought the bag with me to pick up Helena from day care, where she had a rough day coming home with two new booboos. But as soon as she stepped in the car, she saw the bag and gave it a big hug say “now this makes me feel so much better!” Definitely worth the new finger piercing in my book!
Beautiful bag and fabric. Great job. Total #CreativeGoodness.

How adorable is this? Now the real question–whose is this? Or will there be a timeshare involved? So glad to have found you–your weaving makes me weak at the knees 🙂
