As soon as I got my hands on Maureen Cracknell’s new Sun Kissed Collection, I knew that I had to make a quilt with it. Little did I know that I’d be making my biggest quilt to date. It started with me testing out my new Gemini machine by Crafter’s Companion, so I cut out 1152 4.5″ half square triangles.
Once I had the triangles cut out, I designed the quilt. I know it should’ve been the other way around but I just gotta be me.
Since this quickly became a squares sewing excursion, I decided to do some advanced chain piecing, which gave me a bunch of cool pictures methinks.
And since I knew I was gonna post this quilt, I decided to whip up a Half-Square Triangle Tutorial, where you can also find the link to this free pattern.
So watch the video, make the quilt, have the fun. Yeehaw!
