The fabric is great and all cut so nice. And then, when I need help figuring out the pattern, they helped me out. And Mathew has a video showing how they made it (and how simple it is). I'm set! I'm so excited.
Received kit along with pattern. Fabrics are great, lovely colors and good hand. Can't wait to start putting this together! It's going to go on my sofa to snuggle under on these snowy days.
This quilt was so joyful, perfect directions, not intimidating and went together quickly. It looks hard but so easy. You can do it. be brave, buy it and let the happy dance of success wash over you
Fabric in the instructions aren't the same colors/prints as from the kit. For a first-timer, this added complexity, but it's worth persisting. I only have the 8 arms of the star assembled so far. I was concerned about the center of the star being overworked or saggy - as you see on some sites. So, I ironed at every step and starched the fabric fairly well and was super precise in cutting and sewing. This may have avoided that problem. The pride colors are perfect and the overall palette avoids being childish by using a little sparkle or "paint spatter" on each fabric choice. The star spans my queen bed from point to point so the final is going pretty big. A good value for a kit as I don't think I could have purchased all these fabrics with so little waste. There are 16 extra rows that I'll be using to create either an extra border or the binding - not there yet. I recommend this kit for anyone wanting to learn how to create lone star themed blocks or create a beautiful gift that's a symbol of your allyship. It's very satisfying watching this massive star take shape!
The fabrics in this collection, Love is Love are awesome and the fabric is so soft!! And it gets even better…..the selvedges are just wonderful 💜
