So when the Hello Ollie collection from Bonnie Christine of Going Home to Roost launched, the idea was thrown my way to make a mini wardrobe for Helena with it and I was all over it. For one, OMG like every print is adorable so inspiration came immediately. Then, like the entire collection is organic! Say what?!?!
First up was a super fun Cheyenne ruffle shirt and Tilly circle skirt by Simple Life Pattern Company. I chose the Meadow Dreams pure in knit and a combination of the Blossom Drift Roseate & Winnow Frock Dahlia to give the set an awesome partnering of both whimsy and dainty.
Okay so the second frock immediately popped into my head when I saw the amazing gradient in this Nested Gathering print. Thank goodness Simple Life Pattern Company had this Molly dress pattern that was a perfect match to my brain image.
Now for the third and final outfit I stepped into the world of Oliver&S to make the Field Trip Cargo Pants & Shirt. The combo of the Village Tundra Sprout & Swanlings Bevy Peach made the most delicious raglan. And pairing that with the canvas cargo pants made from the Swanlings Bevy Nightfall was perfection.
And OMG the topstitch using Aurifil Red 2260 was the perfect accent for the pants!! It really brought it all together I think.

Woohoo!!! What a fun little project this was! And the best part was seeing my lady squeal with delight while she tried on her new digs.
What an amazing set of outfits!! I was ecstatic when AGF an anounced organic cottons and Hello Ollie is just beautiful!! And guess what – I have all those SAME patterns too, love them! Was under a deadline for two quilts do all cute seeing was on hold, but now I am so inspired with your post !!
And by the way – when I read your girls name, I pronounce it with accent on first part, as they do in my motherland of Serbia… My daughter’s name is Jelena (Serbian version if Helena, pronounced as J woild be Y here…) 🙂
Helena has to be the best dressed child in her class!!! These outfits are amazing and the prints just perfect. What a great match you made between fabrics and patterns. Way to go, Dad!
