So this whole “sewing for the holidays” thang is new to me and I now know that for next year I need to work on projects in the previous month. But whatever, these are more fall anyway so I’m gonna keep them out for a bit.
So I wanted to make denim pumpkins and after scouring the Internet, I dicovered this über rad Crossroads Pumpkin Trio pattern by Amy Barickman. And being all autumnal and stuff, I was feeling both the Canyon Sunset and Scarlet Brick out of the Solid Textured Denims for the fruit and the Clouded Horizon Crosshatch Textured Denim from the Denim Studio by AGF.
And like seriously I hadn’t a clue how spot on the Canyon Sunset was until I made the first one and basically freaking out because it totally looked like a pumpkin.
After I had made the three pumpkins in the trio, I decided to make a few smaller ones by shrinking down the pattern. Sooooooo cute.
I also made a lighter itty bitty one using the linen which I can neither confirm nor deny looks like a pumpkin/garlic hybrid, but it’s still super cute so it found its place in a sea of pumpkins.
Happy fall and stuff!
Luv these, so darling! What’s so great about Halloween pumpkins is they become Thanksgiving pumpkins!! Gotta do this next year.
Your writing/description continues to make me smile!! The little garlic-pumpkin is as cute as a button! The pumpkins are all beautiful.
You are so clever. These are so cute. I love pretty much anything rustic country so you know I let out a little squee at these.
Love these!
