The first week of the Catch & Release Project Party has come and gone and woooooweewow did it blow me away with all of the phenomenal makes.
Kicking off the Catch & Release Project Party was Laura Piland of Slice of Pi Quilts with her new High Tide Quilt, which she now has for sale. This dynamic design truly highlights the fabrics and the bias tape applique technique is something I’ve wanted to try for a while, so it was fun to live vicariously through her in this project. So check out her blog to learn more about this project because it’s awesome. Also yaaaaaay! ??
Next up was Sarah of My Crowded Nest who went to great lengths to capture the perfect photo and woooooow is it gorgeous as is the quilt. Like the quilt totally looks superimposed on a gorgeous nature background in the middle of a river, but I can assure you that there is legit a person standing behind the quilt balancing on a rock. Like what? That’s phenomenal. Please head over to her blog to learn more about this project and her. ?
Day 3 of the Catch & Release Project Party brought us the most adorably intricate frocks with some quilty pieced goodness made by Kristina of Phat Quarters. The way she integrated these piecing techniques into apparel have blown my mind and I’m fairly confident some folks are gonna steal this idea (including me). Head over to her blog to check out more about Kristina and the project and yaaay! ?
Next was Jennifer of Sunshine Selvage omg y’all!!!!! I mean the projects and my knit are fabulous of course. But her “model” omg she absolutely is a natural in front of the camera. She sported both a twirly dress and this peplum shirt and I totally can’t pick a favorite. Make sure to check out Jennifer’s blog to learn more about her and these projects.
Okay y’all this quilt made by Jennifer of Dizzy Quilter for the Catch & Release Project Party is bonafide ?. She pieced these amazingly executed fish using No Hats Quilts Folksy Fish pattern and used my Catch and Release print for the background which has chalk outline fish all over it. Seriously folks you must zoom in and head to her blog to see these fish and the fishnet quilting up close. She even named them all on her blog. Woweewow Jen you rocked it! ???
Last up in the first week of the Catch & Release Project Party was Kaitie of Ginger Lemon Quilts. She made this exquisite jumpsuit using the rayon in my collection and woooow is it perfection. It legit looks like she sews apparel all the time, but this is a newer venture for her which absolutely blows my mind. Head over to her blog to learn more about this make and get to know Kaitie.
At the end of each week in the Catch & Release Project Party, I’ll be hosting a giveway on Instagram. This week is a fat quarter bundle of Catch & Release donated by Art Gallery Fabrics. The giveaway ends on September 1st so if it’s before that date, head over to my instagram to find out how you can enter. Stay tuned for more awesome projects to come because this party is just getting started.
