Dotty Thatched by Robin Pickens for Moda Fabrics

Dotty Thatched takes Robin Pickens’ beloved Thatched texture and gives it a playful little upgrade. The signature hand-drawn, woven-looking lines are still there, but now they’re scattered with tiny dots for an extra layer of movement and whimsy. Robin originally developed the dot motif from the backgrounds of her floral collections, and it has since become a basics collection in its own right.

The result is one of those incredibly useful fabrics that lives somewhere between a solid and a print. From soft neutrals and airy pastels to saturated greens, blues, pinks, reds and deep darks, Dotty Thatched adds texture without competing with the rest of your project. Moda currently carries the collection across more than 30 colorways, making it especially good for quilts where you want lots of color while still keeping the overall palette cohesive.
