Since Mister Domestic first entered the interweb, I’ve always tried to respond to everyone because that just seems proper. Although I didn’t realize this would happen at first, one of my favorite things about social media for me has become me getting to know everybody who engages with me. Like I absolutely love it. And I’ve been honored to get to know Kaitie better both as an awesome person and fantastic maker. So when she e-mailed me personally to ask to make something for my booth, my first reaction was “Yaaaaay Kaitie she’s so awesome!!!” In the email, she told me she wanted to make a Violet Field Threads Pixie Dress for her daughter Ruby who is clearly just as awesome as her mom. She picked the Mandala Drops Midnight, Pieces Bunches Cool, and Reap and Sew Light from Loved to Pieces and I couldn’t wait to see this finish.
Even without the skirt attached, I knew this was going to be a winner winner chicken dinner from this back bodice picture. Sooooo cuuuuute!
And here are the finished dress photos that Kaitie snapped. Amazeballs!
I asked Kaitie to introduce herself and here she is:
I have always had a creative outlet for as long as I can remember. I would get little craft kits as a kid for my birthday and Christmas. I discovered quilting in 2013/2014 after going through a rough patch and long story short I’m obsessed with fabric and design. Sewing is necessary for my sanity (and my husband’s!) ?
My quilting/sewing/personal IG is @gingerlemonquilts.
I have an apparel only IG @rubyjaneclothing. However, I run the majority of my apparel sales through my Facebook group: www.facebook.com/groups/rubyjaneclothing/
I loved having this cutie patootie dress in my booth and a lot of people asked about it. Brava Kaitie!!!
Thanks again Kaitie for being a part of the Loved to Pieces journey.

What a beautiful story. The dress is very stylish and any little girl would be happy to be wearing it. ?
Thank you so much Leona!! I believe it is my favorite make to date.
The dress is beautiful and the fabric perfect for it. I will have to make this for my grand daughter.
