Hex Appeal pulls together eight colors from Marcia Derse’s Palette collection into one gloriously moody little stack of black, smoky charcoal, electric purples, and blazing oranges. Palette is Marcia Derse’s long-running color collection for Windham, made from 100% cotton, with the subtle tonal variation that gives these fabrics so much more depth than a traditional flat solid.
The color story starts with Vine Black and the wonderfully murky Poppyseed, moves through Orchid, Concord Grape, and So Purple, then erupts into Papaya, Pumpkin, and Tangerine. Together they land squarely in spooky-season territory while still feeling modern, sophisticated, and completely usable the other eleven months of the year.
Basically: Halloween without Halloween fabric. Which, apparently, is how I have decided to participate.
