The tumbling blocks weave is one of those weaves that'll blow your mind. I remember the first time that I did it, I could not believe that this pattern could be achieved by weaving fabric in a certain way. It pretty much opened up my mind to the idea of fabric weaving as an artistic expression and I have only scratched the surface of its potential. Tumbling block weaving

I loved this pattern. It is not intuitive at first, but with the help of the You Tube videos, all my hesitation went away. To make it easier to line up my strips, I extended the 30 degree lined outside the 16 inch square, I plan to use this technique and pattern for a larger piece using my Arashi Shibori fabric.
