One of the favorite things that I love to make with woven panels is the Oh How Sweet Zipped Case. The size required for the exterior is an approachable size to weave, which also creates enough structure to maintain the integrity of the case. I am so grateful that Melissa LeRay of Oh How Sweet Company allowed me to create a video tutorial on this case, so make sure to head over to my YouTube to watch it if you haven’t already.
And then if you want to learn to make this specific weave used in this case, check out my Kaleidoscope Weave Tutorial. And of course I took progress photos of this weave and even filmed a video that you can find over on my IGTV.
And then or the inside, I pretty much followed the layout of Melissa’s free tutorial and wanted it to look like the little fishies were swimming in the background.
And I’m not generally a hand binding type of maker, but I just feel that hand binding this case is worth the number of next level ting ting points.
Once I was done with this, I knew that it absolutely needed to be in my Look Book for Catch & Release. If you haven’t checked it out yet, make sure to look. It’s chalk full of amazing projects that are sure to inspire and get the creative juices flowing.
And without further ado, here are the fancy pants photos taken by the AGF team for the book.
So if you’re looking for a high-utility conversation-starter type of projects, this is definitely the project for you. Happy making!
