Mountain Scape Range Backpack

5

As I’m designing each of my prints in a collection, I cycle through all of the different projects that I could potentially make. During the creation of my Mountain Scape print for my Catch & Release collection, I was totally thinking of a fold-over backpack and how cute it would look on our fishing trips.

If you weren’t aware, the absolute ultimate fold-over back pack is Noodlehead’s Range Back Pack. All of Anna’s patterns are legit and easy to follow and it’s almost like this pattern is a right of passage for all makers and sewists.

Since this was one of the first full projects that I completed with my Catch & Release Strike Offs, I was able to get it into Art Gallery Fabrics to be included in my Look Book.

Here are some of the fancy pants detail shots from the Look Book.

So hopefully I’ve inspired a few of y’all to make this back pack because it is fire!

Will there be a YouTube of this construction? I’ve got the pattern all your fabrics that are available in my carts, the rest I’m signed up to be notified when they’re back in stock. I haven’t made a backpack yet, though. I’d like to get the reinforcing correct so I can gift it to my outdoorsy sister. Your prints are a mix of her asthetic and mine.
I’m planning a hand bag for myself with the florals, granny square, and ladybugs. 🙂
