Patchwork Petals Sewing Party – Block 1

1

Yeehaw!!! The Patchwork Petals Sewing Party officially begins today and I couldn’t be more excited. If this is your first time hearing about, there’s a full list of notions and sponsors and other fun details on my intro post to the party. In a nutshell, this is an 8-week foundation paper piecing sew-along of Patchwork Petals, a neato mosquito pattern designed by Whole Circle Studio and inspired by my debut fabric collection Loved to Pieces. There are four different blocks and each two-week period, Sheri and I are going to focus our resources on walking you through and helping you with each block. If you haven’t purchased the pattern yet, head over to Sheri’s site to snag one. This two-week period is Block 1.

Block 1

If you took part in the EPP Party last year, the format is going to be pretty similar. My plan is to provide video tutorials on foundation paper piecing that will provide everything you need to know to progress from basic to advance skills. Here are a few that I created to get you started. Click on each image to be directed to each video.

Sheri and I will also be live-streaming on Facebook every other Sunday to answer any questions you might have and demo the construction of each block. The first live-stream will be Sunday June 24th @ 12 pm PT.

PRIZES

Now this wouldn’t be a sewing party without party favors. So each week, just for participating, you’ll be eligible to win a prize. All you have to do is post your progress and completion photos on Instagram using the hashtag #PatchworkPetalsQuilt. This week’s prize comes to you from Whole Circle Studio.
