Snow Day Flowermania Pillow

The process of sewing

Originally, this was going to be a table runner- but boy oh boy am I glad that I did that because loooooook. This pillow is straight up boss. So comfy and cozy and chic and stylish and made with my Snowday collection. I’m not saying that entirely because it’s my fabric, but it’s been really cool sewing with a non-holiday winter collection.

That first cut feeling cutting into fabrics that I’ve designed omg it’s just the best feeling I’m so grateful for my life and that I get to do this and that y’all are a part of my journey. Methinks this collection ships to shops the end of this month.

Folks always ask me how I get my stitches so snatched when I hand sew. First this is I wake up hella early to get some hand stitching done before Helena comes downstairs. And It’s been a hot minute since I’ve made one of my Flowermania blocks and I must say I’ve missed it, so for sure I’m gonna make a couple more with my Snow Day Fabrics.

In October, I taught my Flowermania Class online and it was an absolute blast hanging out and teaching and sewing and chatting. I was feeling my first Snow Day flower so much that I decided to make another one. It could have been a table runner but i got so jazzed I turned it into a pillow! And yes I know one of the coffins are the wrong way but I decided to leave it because it makes me giggle that it’s there.

Legit I’m having so much fun and I’m pretending like I’m inside because it’s a snow day.

Mathew, you bring joy to my days and nights with your content. Thank you so much. I have a question, when you glue baste, what paper and glue are you using.
